Men AND Women of the Month

chosen by Stella and Lauren

The Cast of Lost

OK, first things first, let's just accept that this isn't going to happen right? We're both very happily married ladies, one straight, one gay, and er, the people we're talking about are fictional. Good, now that's cleared up, who would we … from the cast of Lost?

Jack Jack

Lauren : Obviously I would. Who wouldn't? He has a rocking body! But somehow I think it might be a bit boring.

Stella : Probably. If there was only Ben left. I get it, he's cute and good and wise and noble. But you know, that just doesn't sound like much fun to me. If you could find his dark side (and I don't mean the brooding part, there's plenty of that) then maybe.

(I'm also a bit worried about the kids at home, who's looking after Neve Campbell now?)

SawyerSawyer

Lauren : I CANNOT SAY how much I dislike those slopy shoulders. Your hands would slide right off them. But sure I would. He'd be a ton of naughty fun.

Stella : I would. Yes. But the shoulders are certainly a problem. As is the alternating bad boy with wounded puppy. On the other hand, in an island sadly lacking in bad boys (and bad girls for that matter), he'd have to be your man for any real fun …

Kate Kate

Lauren : Ugh, so bony. No. I'm really not a girl-fancier anyway and this one would totally not convince me to change my mind. I bet she'd be pretty self-obsessed and selfish as well. Don't ask me why. She just looks it.

Stella : It's true, she does need to eat a pie. Or twelve. But she bears a striking resemblance to a lovely young lady I once knew - so that's a definite yes then.

Sayid

Lauren : Hell yeah. Though that sadness in his eyes is a little off-putting - I don't go for that 'cheer up the poor tragic boy' pathology. But he looks so good in that white tank top, doesn't he?

Stella : I really don't know. The tragic past is very off-putting, as is the torture obviously (we're not talking toys and safe word here) but he's definitely got something going on. And is certainly handier with tools than pretty much anyone else on the island.

Ana Ana

Lauren : Frankly, if she wanted to have her way with me, I can't imagine refusing, as she would be more than capable of beating me up if I didn't go along with whatever she wanted me to do. And then it wouldn't be my fault, so I wouldn't have to feel guilty about whatever she'd made me do. Which is always nice.

Stella : YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!

Michael Michael

Lauren : Ugh, I would rather have a double-header with Locke and Henry/Alex! Weird how the utter annoyingness of his character completely vitiates any attractiveness he might have, isn't it? Harold Perrineau was actually picked by Katy Munger as a Man of the Month years ago, and now I can't imagine anyone wanting to have sex with him! The hair alone is tremendously annoying.

Stella : With Lauren on this one. Nice body and all that, but WHERE'S THE CHARACTER? What's going on here? Are we not supposed to care about him at all? There's nothing behind the eyes!

Mr Eko Mr Eko

Lauren : See response to Ana.

Stella : See Lauren's response to Ana.

Claire Claire

Lauren : Yawn. Sorry, I just fell asleep for a moment. What was I saying? Oh yes, Claire. Sorry, drifting off again…

Stella : Am sure I've said it on this site before now (and apologies to those of you who are) but little blondes … where's the attraction? Where's the guts, the energy, the passion? The problem with blondes (natural ones, I mean) is that in most western cultures they get it easy from when they're tiny - those Brady Bunch girls have a lot to answer for - so the pretty little blonde grows up not having to try. She thinks it's all about her. And that makes her deadly dull.

Jin Jin

Lauren : OH yes. OH yes. That is one sexy Korean dude with unreadable eyes and hot ripped bod! My top pick.

Stella : Nah, call me old-fashioned, but I like a lover to make some attempt at conversation. Three series and he's only just learning hello/goodbye?

Sun Sun

Lauren : See response to Claire.

Stella : OK, she's not classic lezz material, but I can see some potential here. And she seems to get on far better with the other ladies than any of the other women, which means (heh) she could probably learn …

Locke

Locke Stella : Lauren! You didn't consider Locke? Er, I would. (Island Locke, not hometown-wig Locke.)

Lauren: Even my daddy-complex does not extend this far, thank you.

Juliet

Stella : OK, I'm going to totally contradict myself here (blonde-phobia etc) and say yes. I think it's to do with whatever she's Juliethiding (halfway through series 3) she looks like she's got something going on. Def a bit bony though. Always a problem, making it with those women you have to be careful not to break …

Lauren : Blimey, she wasn't even on my radar. And she still isn't.
